Q1. How to get work rights in a 1st world country?

There are a lot of Options in both Australia and Canada to get work rights.

For example: These are the Visas for Australia. (Both Sponsored and Non-Sponsored Visas).

Australia:

  • 494 Visa (Sponsored Visa) - A sponsored visa for regional areas that allows you to live and work in Australia.
  • 482 Visa (Sponsored Visa) - A temporary sponsored visa allowing you to work for an approved employer in Australia.
  • 186 Visa (Sponsored Visa) - A permanent visa for skilled workers who are nominated by their employer in Australia.
  • 189 Visa (Not a Sponsored Visa) - A permanent visa that allows you to live and work anywhere in Australia without employer sponsorship.
  • 190 Visa (Not a Sponsored Visa) - A permanent visa for skilled workers who are nominated by an Australian state or territory government.
  • 491 Visa (Not a Sponsored Visa) - A provisional visa for skilled workers who are nominated by a state or territory government or sponsored by an eligible relative.

Canada:

  • Federal Skill Visa (Not a Sponsored Visa) - A permanent visa for skilled workers that does not require employer sponsorship.
  • Temporary Foreign Worker Program (Sponsored Visa) - A program allowing you to work in Canada temporarily with a job offer from a Canadian employer.
  • International Mobility Program (Sponsored Visa) - A program for temporary work in Canada without the need for a Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA).

Some of these visas require you to have a sponsor (an employer offering you a job), while others do not require sponsorship. We will discuss the visas which do not require a job Offer or a Sponsor. These visas are called Skilled Migration in Australia and Federal Skill Worker Program in Canada.

These visas are called Point Tested Visas. You get points for factors like:

  • Age
  • English proficiency
  • Experience
  • Education
  • Other factors like study or work in these countries

We have developed a basic point test for you to play around with. (You can see if you qualify)

  • We seize opportunities to innovate and grow
  • We are one firm with a shared sense of purpose
  • We care about each other and the world around us

These visas let you live and work in Australia or Canada respectively.

Some of these visas require you to have a sponsor (employer offering you a job) and some work without sponsorship.(No Job Offer is required).

We will discuss the visas which do not require a job Offer or a Sponsor. These visas are called Skilled Migration in Australia and Federal Skill worker program in Canada.
