Canada Startup Visa for Innovative Businesses
The Start-up Visa Program offers a pathway to immigrate to Canada as an entrepreneur, leveraging your skills to establish businesses that contribute to the economy by creating jobs for Canadians and fostering global competitiveness and innovation.
Eligibility for this program includes stringent criteria regarding voting rights attached to corporation shares. Applicants must also secure a Letter of Support from a designated angel investor, venture capital fund, or business incubator, along with a commitment certificate sent directly to CICC by the designated organization.
A minimum language requirement of CLB 5 in English or French is mandatory, along with proof of sufficient settlement funds.
Up to 5 applicants can apply under the same business, each holding at least 10% voting rights and collectively more than 50% voting rights with the designated organization.
If a primary applicant is rejected, all associated applicants are also denied.
